Hauoli Akaka was yet another one of the successors to Larry Lindsey Kimura as a co-host of the long running Hawaiian language radio program, "Ka Leo Hawaii", on KCCN 1420 AM Station Aloha. Hauoli taught Hawaiian language at Kailua High School for many years, and is now head of a similar department with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA).

Bill Von Osdol broke into radio in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in the late 1980s.
He arrived in Honolulu, and along with the Honolulu Skylark created the powerhouse station KCCN FM (FM 100), in 1990.
Known today as "Billy V", he is now the morning man on Hawaiian 105 KINE FM.

Sam Kapu aka: the "Menehune of the Microphone", has been broadcasting on Hawaiian radio since 1966. He also spent several years as Don Ho's protoge, becoming a mainstay on the Don Ho shows. Sam remains the midday on air personality on Hawaiian 105 KINE FM in Honolulu, Hawaii.
