Hawaiian music’s recovery was led by Alfred Apaka.
Honolulu boomed, sprouting parking meters, the Lunalilo Freeway, the Pali Tunnels, the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and a jet age airport. The race towards statehood was underway, and the Territory of Hawaii would soon be just a memory!
