Johnny Kaonohi Pineapple

David Kaonohi was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 11, 1906.
After attending Oregon State University, he began his career as a Hawaiian entertainer on the Mainland.
David Kaonohi would settle in New York City, and become known as, “Johnny Kaonohi Pineaaple”, and exponent of Hawaiian Swing in the late 1930s, and an exponent of Hawaiian Calypso in the 1950s.
