The Invitations - with Billy May Orchestra

A pair of ex-members of Richard Kauhi’s Quartette joined some talented young musicians in 1958 to form a sensational harmony group called “The Invitations”.
Buddy Fo, Sonny Kamaka, Johnny Costello, Clem Low, and Alec Kaeck, as the Invitations, were named Hawaii’s “Best New Group” for their 1959 “R.S.V.P.” LP on Liberty Records.
However, a 2nd LP was recorded on that same trip to Hollywood in 1959, combining the Invitations with the Billy May Orchestra.
Liberty Records released that 2nd LP in 1960 to follow up on the group’s success, but that LP is quite rare now.
Today, we’ll hear that 2nd rare Liberty Records LP of the Invitations with the Billy May Orchestra.
