Hui Ohana

A young Big Island trio took Hawaiian music by storm in 1972.
Two fraternal twin brothers, Ledward & Nedward Ka’apana, had teamed up with their cousin, Dennis Pavao early in the Hawaiian Renaissance.
Hui Ohana awakened a generation of Hawaiian music fans to the beauty of Hawaiian male falsetto singing, and Hawaiian slack key guitar.
Today, we’ll share some of our favorites of the group’s earliest recordings.
Today, we’ll celebrate the early recorded legacy of the Hui Ohana.
