HARRY B.'s HAWAIIAN HOT HULA TIP OF THE MONTH: The 30th Annual "Holomua Ka No'eau" concert at the Hawaii Theatre on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. Kumu Hula Mapuana de Silva and Halau Mohala 'Ilima present the 30th annual "Holomua Ka No'eau" concert, showcasing hula kahiko and hula 'auana that address the theme of "wahine 'au i ke kai" -- women who navigate the tides of change. This concert offers a sneak preview of the 32nd year of the halau's participation in the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, and it features the music of Chad Takatsugi Ma and a guest appearance by Manu Boyd's "Halau Ke 'A'ali'i Ku Makani".
RETURNING TO HILO, HAWAII. THE 47th ANNUAL MERRIE MONARCH HULA FESTIVAL IN HILO, HAWAII IN APRIL 2010. Harry B. Soria, Jr. will be traveling to Hilo with Mapuana & Kihei De Silva & Halau Mohala Ilima again this year. For the first time, Harry B. will be able to contribute more continuous support to HMI. RETURNING TO JAPAN. HARRY B. SORIA, JR. WILL EMCEE A CONCERT IN SHINEGAWA, JAPAN. Harry B. will return to Tokyo to emcee another beautiful concert of Hawaiian music and hula in Japan. Hula Oni E Japan will be presented on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Hawaiian entertainers performing O'Brien Eselu & his male halau, Mapuana De Silva & her Halau Mohala Ilima, and Hokulani De Rego & her Halau Hula O Hokulani. RETURNING TO VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON. HARRY B. SORIA, JR. WILL EMCEE THE HAPA HAOLE HULA COMPETITION at Esther Short Park, in Vancouver, Washington. This year's "3 Days of Aloha" are to be held on July 30 & 31, and August 1, 2010. Harry B. emceed the 2009 Hapa Haole Hula Competition. Judges included Debbie Nakanelua-Richards, Kanoe Maumeheiwa Miller, & Victoria Holt Takamine. Winning soloists and groups were showcased at the following day's Ho'ike and Hawaiian Festival during the finale of the Three Days of Aloha. THE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF TERRITORIAL AIRWAVES!!! JUNE 13, 2009 MARKED OUR 30th ANNIVERSARY OF CONTINUOUS BROADCASTING VINTAGE HAWAIIAN MUSIC! Our first broadcast was on June 13, 1979. Harry B. ANNUAL LILI'UOKALANI PROTESTANT CHURCH LUAU IN HALEIWA, O'AHU, HAWAII. Harry B. Soria, Jr. emceed the annual Queen Lili'uokalani Church benefit luau in beautiful Haleiwa on O'ahu's North Shore on Saturday, August 1, 2009, from 12 noon to 3 PM. Harry B. has helped out at the annual event for nearly 20 years since he was asked by friend Dick Rodby, former owner of Kemoo Farms, to help out after previous emcee Charles K. L. Davis passed away. There is always plenty of food, entertainment, and fellowship at the big luau!

GOLDEN PRINCESS - SCHOLARSHIP @ SEA LECTURE SERIES FEATURES TERRITORIAL AIRWAVES. Harry B. Soria, Jr. presented a 4 part port lecture series on the week-long Los Angeles to Hawaii leg of the TransPacific cruise on the Golden Princess of the Princess Cruises fleet.
